With the loss of WNC’s biggest tourist season, regional artists are already feeling the economic fallout. “The biggest impact on me an my family [from Helene] is the loss of income as we move forward through these next few months without much tourism,” says massage therapist and painter Amy Massey (@amymasseystudio), whose space at Wedge Studios (@wedgestudios) is one of few RAD (@riverartsdistrictasheville) studios that emerged from the storm unscathed.
